Assault Offences

Harassment

There term harassment is used to cover the ‘causing alarm or distress’ offences under Section 2 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 as amended (PHA) and also the ‘putting people in fear of violence’ offences under Section 4 of the PHA. Inquests

An inquest is a legal fact-finding inquiry into the cause and circumstances of a death. It is a public hearing which can be held with or without a jury. The aim is to record a death; to ensure the deceased is identified; and for the body to be released for burial or cremation.
