Assault Offences
We’re specialist assault solicitors that deal with a range of assault offences including ABH, assault on a police constable, assault with intent to resist arrest, common assault and GBH. Read more about the different types of assault offences and find out more about each category.
Harassment
There term harassment is used to cover the ‘causing alarm or distress’ offences under Section 2 of the Protection from Harassment Act 1997 as amended (PHA) and also the ‘putting people in fear of violence’ offences under Section 4 of the PHA. Our expert solicitors will review your case thoroughly and can advise whether you have any defence.
Drugs Offences
Whether you wish to plead guilty and have us do damage limitation, or you are not guilty and need the strongest defence preparing, our drug offence solicitors are the experts you need on your side. We will go through the matter in great detail and look for any available defences, if there is no defence we will be honest and realistic with you. If you have to plead guilty then we will make sure your case is presented in the best possible light.
Cyber Crime
Cyber crime relates to several offences under the Computer Misuse Act 1990. It is a serious criminal offence that, depending on the sentence, could lead to 10 years’ imprisonment. If you’re being investigated for, or charged with, a cyber crime, our specialist solicitors are able to provide urgent help.
Blackmail
Blackmail is covered by Section 21 of the Theft Act 1968, and has a range of complexities that specifically relate to demands – implied to otherwise – for money or property. Our team of specialist blackmail solicitors will guide you through the various definitions and will be happy to give you their expert advice.
Firearms Offences
Possession of a firearm without a certificate, or misuse of firearms, are considered highly serious offences, carrying sentences ranging from a fine up to 10 years imprisonment. If you’re being investigated or prosecuted, our specialist team of firearms solicitors will guide you through the issues all the way.
Dog Law Solicitors
We understand that the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 is a complex and niche area of law that often sees people of impeccable character in criminal proceedings because of the behaviour, or anticipated behaviour, of their beloved pet dog. We’ll be able to give you specialist advice and a pro-active defence.
Extradition
Extradition is the formal procedure for requesting the surrender of a person from one country to another to be prosecuted, sentenced for an offence for which the person has already been convicted, or to carry out a sentence which has already been imposed. Our solicitors will help you out with free initial advice.
Criminal Records
Our Reputation Management team are able to advise you on how to handle all stages of the criminal justice process, and on hand to consult whenever needed. All aspects of our case preparation and management are focused on minimising the chances of your case becoming a story.
Inquests
An inquest is a legal fact-finding inquiry into the cause and circumstances of a death. It is a public hearing which can be held with or without a jury. The aim is to record a death; to ensure the deceased is identified; and for the body to be released for burial or cremation. Our inquests specialists will be able to guide you through what can be a difficult and emotionally challenging situation.
