Katie is focused on full case preparation across all areas of criminal defence and is particularly interested in serious sexual offences and defending vulnerable adults.
She has worked in the legal field for over 15 years and is passionate about providing clients with the highest level of client care. She has a specialist understanding of additional needs, including autism, Asperger’s, Pathological Demand Avoidance, and Sensory Processing Disorders, and a large portion of her caseload is focused on assisting vulnerable people who find themselves being investigated for, or charged with, criminal offences.
Katie believes there’s no better feeling than getting a great outcome for a client after having supported and guided them through the process.
She’s been involved in the legal industry for over 15 years. There’s a real culture of ‘work hard, play hard’, which she encourages within the firm.
Her recent successes include R-v-C, a case involving allegations of sexual assault made against a teacher by a former pupil, and R-v-L, a case involving allegations of sexual assault made against a vulnerable client. Both cases were withdrawn before trial thanks to her skillful and proactive case preparation.
